“Empowered by Art”

Empowered by Art – 2012 International Year of Cooperatives is our exhibition begininng 8th February through to 18th March.  When the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made the announcement, he said “Co-operatives are a reminder to the international community that it is possible to pursue both economic viability and social responsibility.”   Well we know it!

The members of our artists co-operative found that business model (now don’t fall asleep here all you right brain-ers!) suited our needs perfectly.  We encourage you to examine how co-operatives work in your country, as they just might suit that secret dream you’ve squirelled away for far too long now! As we approach this exhibition we will share some insights into the early days of being an arts group, getting it together, getting legal and having some walls to lean on!
